Facebook Tutorial – Acquiring a Unique Address | December 6th, 2010

Having a unique Facebook web address for your business page makes it easier to direct people there. Imagine trying to find room on your business card for “www.facebook.com/pages/Tebo-Design-Studio/258400069242”. It’s a lot easier to fit “www.facebook.com/TeboDesignStudio”. However, you are only allowed a unique address after you have obtained at least 25 “Likes” for your page.

1. Login to Facebook. Go to your business page and check to see that you have 25 or more “Likes” in the left column.

2. Go to: http://www.facebook.com/username. Select the business page you wish to set up a unique user name for.

3. Type in the user name you want and click “Check Availability”. Try to pick a short user name. You may need to repeat this step if your desired user name is not available.

4. If the information is correct, click “Confirm”. You have now set your business page user name.

How’s that for short and sweet? Your new Facebook address is now www.facebook.com/YourUserName. You are now ready to easily send people to your page.
